Pastor's Testimony:
I was privileged to grow up in a Bible church, and be raised in a strong Christian home where my father was involved in the ministry of the church. At an early age I accepted Jesus Christ to be my savior by the leading of my mother. Through a consistent Christian witness at home, Sunday school, morning and evening church, AWANA, and youth group a strong biblical worldview was framed out. In my early teens I felt that I could be called into full time ministry. Through later teens and college years I felt that I needed to obtain a higher level of maturity/education or be further along in life before I could be used in a full-time setting. During my later college years and early married years I concluded that I would always be inadequate to the man I desired to be. God uses people in the present. I began to consider my present serving of the Lord to be His will for me. As children came (boy, girl, boy) I served the Lord in my home church as deacon and adult Sunday school teacher. I would fill the pulpit during Pastor’s vacation. Within the last six years I taught at a Christian school where I daily interacted with students on a spiritual/biblical plane. I have learned how important teaching God’s Word is to me when I took a different job so that my wife could be home with the kids. December 18th 2015 I resolved that I belong to a calling that shares God’s Word with people. I have been encouraged by members of my church through the years that I have a gift with sharing God’s Word and have a command of the Scriptures. As I began to loose my hair, I knew the call was near. August of 2017 Hartford Federated Church called me to be their Pastor. It is with joy that I serve the Lord here.
About:
Pastors are normal people whom the Lord uses. Personally I like cutting firewood and playing about any sport, and golf is not a sport. My kids are involved with football, basketball, and baseball with wrestling on the horizon. My family enjoys the outdoors. My wife loves summer and desires to one day move to the South. Her brother recently moved to Florida and now she has a place to go to get her needed ultra-violet radiation. Hartford Bible Church has over 40 acres and we look forward to using this great facility to reach our community doing things we already love.
